About the Role
A forward-thinking school in Harlow is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide vital support to secondary pupils within its specialist provision. This rewarding role focuses on assisting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, fostering their emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour. You will play a crucial part in facilitating pupils' reintegration into learning environments, making a tangible difference to their educational journey. Various contract options, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, and permanent roles, are available, offering a competitive daily rate of £95 - £120, with an immediate start for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to secondary pupils with SEMH needs.
* Assist in the successful implementation of individualised education plans and positive behaviour strategies.
* Promote emotional literacy and self-regulation skills among pupils in a nurturing setting.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support network.
* Support pupils in developing social skills and confidence to engage effectively with their peers and learning.
* Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every pupil can thrive.

About You
* You possess proven experience working with secondary-aged pupils, specifically those with SEMH challenges.
* A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach is essential when supporting vulnerable young people.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport effectively with pupils and staff.
* The ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism and a proactive mindset is key.
* You are deeply committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
* Relevant qualifications or professional development in SEN, emotional support, or youth work are highly advantageous.
