About the Role
A progressive school is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision for secondary pupils. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and successful reintegration into learning. This opportunity offers flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent positions, starting as soon as possible, with a competitive daily rate of £95 - £120.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary pupils with SEMH needs within a specialist setting.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies, promoting a calm and focused learning environment.
* Assist pupils in developing coping mechanisms and strategies for emotional regulation.
* Facilitate the reintegration of pupils into the broader curriculum and classroom activities.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and therapists to create individualised support plans.
* Monitor pupil progress and contribute to regular assessments, celebrating achievements.

About You
* You possess previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils, ideally within an SEN or SEMH setting.
* You demonstrate a profound understanding of the challenges faced by young people with SEMH needs.
* Your approach is patient, empathetic, and consistently positive, inspiring confidence in pupils.
* You are an excellent communicator, capable of building strong rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
* You are proactive and adaptable, thriving in a dynamic educational environment.
* You are committed to continuous professional development and making a significant impact on pupil well-being.
