About the Role
A forward-thinking school in Cambridgeshire is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision, working with secondary pupils. This varied role involves providing crucial support to help young people manage behaviour, develop emotional regulation strategies, and successfully reintegrate into their learning journey. We are open to discussions regarding long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent contract opportunities, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £95 to £120 for the right candidate, commencing as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to secondary pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
* Proactively implement positive behaviour management techniques, fostering a calm and focused learning environment.
* Guide pupils in developing effective emotional regulation strategies and coping mechanisms.
* Work collaboratively with teachers to facilitate the successful reintegration of pupils into their academic studies.
* Contribute to the creation of individualised support plans and monitor pupil progress.
* Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all young people.

About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, resilience, and an empathetic approach to pupil support.
* Hold strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships.
* Be proactive in identifying and addressing pupil needs, adapting strategies as required.
* Demonstrate a genuine commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive educational setting.
* Be dedicated to continuous professional development and contributing positively to a team.
