A dynamic school in the West Midlands is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide vital personalised support to a primary-aged pupil with complex needs, potentially including ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment. This challenging yet immensely rewarding role focuses on fostering a strong rapport, meticulously implementing Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets, and effectively collaborating with external therapists to ensure the pupil's holistic development. We are looking for an individual available for an immediate start, with contract options ranging from long-term supply to a permanent position, offering a competitive daily rate of £85 - £110.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support tailored to the specific complex needs of a primary pupil.
* Cultivate a strong, trusting rapport with the pupil to foster a positive learning environment.
* Meticulously implement and track progress against EHCP targets, adapting strategies as required.
* Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with various external therapists and specialists.
* Assist in the creation and adaptation of engaging learning resources to suit individual requirements.
* Monitor and record the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development diligently.
