We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide crucial assistance to a secondary pupil with complex needs within a supportive school environment. This fulfilling role involves implementing targets outlined in the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to facilitate full curriculum access and actively promote the development of independence and essential life skills. This opportunity offers various contract options, including long-term, daily supply, or permanent placement, with an immediate start available, offering a competitive daily rate ranging from £85 to £110.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide consistent and dedicated 1:1 support to a secondary-aged pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Work proactively to implement and review individualised EHCP targets effectively.
* Adapt learning materials and strategies to ensure the pupil can fully access all aspects of the curriculum.
* Support the pupil in developing crucial independence and life skills relevant to their personal growth.
* Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the pupil's care.
* Accurately monitor the pupil's progress, providing regular and constructive feedback to the teaching staff.
About You
* You possess demonstrable experience in supporting pupils with complex special educational needs, particularly within a secondary setting.
