About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic school committed to nurturing every child's potential. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to primary pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs within a specialist setting. You will play a crucial part in fostering a positive learning environment, utilising de-escalation techniques, and building strong, trusting relationships to empower young learners.

Key Responsibilities
* Support primary pupils with diverse social, emotional, and mental health needs.
* Implement effective de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviours calmly.
* Provide individualised mentoring and guidance to promote pupil well-being and self-regulation.
* Foster strong, positive relationships with pupils, earning their trust and encouraging engagement.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support plans.
* Contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere for all learners.

About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEMH needs.
* Have prior experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting, particularly primary phase.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Exhibit a calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to challenging situations.
* Hold a relevant qualification or training in SEN, child development, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
* Be committed to continuous professional development and making a real difference.
