About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a dynamic school community on a permanent, long-term basis, starting in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire secondary-aged pupils with a profound love for literature and language. You will contribute to a thriving department, delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum and shaping the academic journey of young learners.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons to secondary pupils across all key stages.
* Plan and prepare creative and challenging learning experiences suitable for diverse abilities.
* Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils effectively.
* Contribute actively to the ongoing development and review of the English curriculum.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where every pupil can thrive.
* Participate constructively in departmental meetings and wider whole-school initiatives.

About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
* Hold a relevant degree in English or a closely related subject.
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English language and literature.
* Be enthusiastic about fostering a love for learning in all secondary pupils.
* Show excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Applications are welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs), as well as experienced professionals on the Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS).
