This pivotal role involves leading small groups of pupils, each with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), through a carefully adapted national curriculum. You will collaborate closely with a supportive team of teaching assistants, therapists, and families to foster an inclusive and stimulating learning environment. We are offering flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £150 to £250, and an immediate start available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs within a primary setting.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere for pupils with diverse special educational needs.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to support pupil progress.
* Adapt and modify the national curriculum to meet the specific learning objectives of small groups.
* Regularly assess pupil achievement, providing constructive feedback and updating progress reports.
* Communicate proactively with parents and carers regarding their child's development and wellbeing.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant experience in a primary or SEN setting.
* Demonstrate a profound understanding of special educational needs and EHCP implementation.
* Be adept at differentiating the curriculum to meet the unique requirements of every pupil.
* Exhibit exceptional communication and teamwork skills, valuing multi-agency collaboration.
* Show a genuine passion for making a significant difference in the lives of young learners with SEN.
* Available for an immediate start, offering flexibility across various contract types.
