A highly regarded school in Hertfordshire is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join their supportive primary setting. This vital role involves fostering therapeutic relationships with pupils, expertly managing challenging behaviour, and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum. We are looking for an individual available for various contract options, including long-term, daily supply, or a permanent position, with an immediate start available, offering a competitive daily rate between £150 and £250.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver a bespoke curriculum designed to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEMH.
* Cultivate strong, therapeutic relationships, fostering trust and positive engagement.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies, promoting a calm and focused learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff to maximise pupil outcomes.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, contributing to comprehensive individualised plans.
* Contribute positively to the wider school community and its ethos of care.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a specialist setting.
* Demonstrate proven experience supporting primary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
* Exhibit exceptional skills in positive behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.
* Hold a genuine passion for making a significant difference to vulnerable young people's lives.
* Be adaptable, resilient, and committed to continuous professional development.
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering strong relationships with all stakeholders.
