We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a dynamic school, providing exceptional primary education and support to pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. This vital role involves cultivating therapeutic relationships, expertly managing challenging behaviours, and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum, with opportunities for various contract types starting as soon as possible. Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons tailored to primary pupils with SEMH requirements.
* Implement effective and therapeutic behaviour management strategies consistently within the classroom.
* Foster a supportive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all children.
* Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and external professionals to ensure holistic pupil development.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress rigorously, adapting teaching methods and resources as necessary.
* Contribute positively to the wider school community, participating in meetings and training sessions.
About You
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is a fundamental requirement for this position.
* Demonstrated experience working effectively with primary-aged pupils who have SEMH needs.
* A resilient and empathetic approach to supporting complex learners.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a team.
* A proactive commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
* The capacity to foster strong, positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
