This exciting opportunity is for a dedicated Science Teacher to join a highly regarded school in the thriving Wokingham area of Berkshire. We are seeking an enthusiastic educator to deliver engaging Science lessons across the secondary phase, fostering a love for discovery and learning in all students. This long-term, permanent contract offers a competitive salary paid to scale, with a preferred start in September or sooner for the right candidate, welcoming applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as more experienced professionals (MPS/UPS) with any Science specialism.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver dynamic and inspiring Science lessons across the secondary curriculum.
* Cultivate a stimulating classroom environment that encourages scientific inquiry and critical thinking.
* Assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
* Contribute actively to the ongoing evolution and success of the Science department.
* Uphold the school's high standards for behaviour and academic achievement within your lessons.
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall educational experience.
About You
* You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrable experience teaching Science at secondary level, or are an ECT ready to make an impact.
* You exhibit a genuine passion for Science and inspire students with your subject knowledge and enthusiasm.
* You are adept at creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
* You demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, promoting a respectful and productive atmosphere.
