About the Role
A respected primary school in West London is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide focused support for a pupil with complex needs. This vital role involves assisting a child experiencing conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, or sensory impairments. You will play a crucial part in the pupil's daily learning journey, fostering their development within a nurturing educational environment. The school is offering flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, or permanent arrangements, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £85 to £110. This immediate start position offers a deeply rewarding opportunity to make a tangible difference in a young person's life.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated, tailored 1:1 support to a primary phase pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Develop a strong, positive rapport with the individual pupil to foster trust and engagement.
* Effectively implement and monitor personalised Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
* Collaborate closely with external therapists, such as speech and language or occupational therapists, to integrate specialist strategies.
* Assist with personal care and mobility as required, ensuring the pupil's safety and comfort.
* Document progress and contribute to reviews, providing valuable insights into the pupil's development.

About You
* Possess demonstrable experience in supporting children with Special Educational Needs, particularly complex learning difficulties.
* Exhibit a compassionate and patient approach, understanding the unique challenges faced by pupils with ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments.
* Hold a robust understanding of EHCPs and experience in contributing to their successful implementation.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, parents, and external professionals.
* Be proactive and adaptable, able to respond effectively to the evolving needs of the pupil.
* Show a genuine commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment and promoting individual pupil progress.
