This vital role involves re-engaging disaffected learners, expertly managing complex behaviour, and delivering a modified curriculum tailored to individual requirements. We are open to discussions regarding long-term, daily supply, or permanent contracts, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver a broad and balanced modified curriculum to secondary-aged students.
* Implement effective and consistent behaviour management strategies within the classroom.
* Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
* Adapt teaching and learning approaches to cater specifically for students with SEMH needs.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
* Collaborate closely with the wider support team to ensure holistic student development.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
* Demonstrate a proven track record in supporting students with SEMH needs.
* Exhibit exceptional skills in managing and de-escalating complex behaviours.
* Show a genuine passion for re-engaging and motivating disaffected learners.
* Possess strong communication and collaborative skills for working with staff and students.
* Display resilience, empathy, and a positive outlook in challenging situations.
