About the Role
At an innovative school in the South East, we are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist provision, supporting secondary-aged pupils with complex needs. This vital role involves assisting with the delivery of an adapted curriculum, fostering a nurturing learning environment, and actively promoting the independence and personal growth of every student. We are offering flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £90 to £115, commencing as soon as possible. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of young people, contributing to their academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary-aged pupils with complex special educational needs, both individually and in small groups.
* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, adapted learning activities across various subjects.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, encouraging student participation and confidence.
* Promote student independence and self-help skills, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, therapists, and external professionals to implement individualised education plans.
* Monitor and record student progress, contributing to assessments and future planning.

About You
* You possess previous experience supporting children or young people with complex special educational needs, ideally within a secondary setting.
* You demonstrate a genuine passion for inclusive education and a commitment to nurturing student development.
* You are patient, resilient, and possess excellent communication skills to engage effectively with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
* You are adaptable and proactive, able to respond creatively to diverse learning styles and challenges.
* You are a collaborative team player, eager to contribute positively to a supportive school community.
* You hold relevant qualifications or training in SEN support, or are committed to continuous professional development.
