Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to primary pupils with SEMH needs.
* Implement effective de-escalation techniques calmly and confidently when required.
* Foster strong, positive working relationships with pupils, built on trust and respect.
* Mentor pupils to develop their social, emotional, and independent living skills.
* Assist the class teacher with general classroom duties and engaging lesson activities.
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all children.
About You
* You possess prior experience supporting primary-aged children, ideally within an SEN or SEMH setting.
* You demonstrate a clear understanding of social, emotional, and mental health needs.
* You are skilled in utilising de-escalation strategies effectively and calmly.
* You exhibit excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with both pupils and staff.
* You are inherently patient, remarkably resilient, and deeply empathetic.
* You show initiative and adaptability in a dynamic and fast-paced educational environment.
