Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across the secondary key stages.
* Develop and implement a creative curriculum that inspires a love for reading and writing.
* Assess pupil progress diligently and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all pupils feel valued and encouraged to participate.
* Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities or departmental initiatives.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance teaching methodologies.
About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT), Main Pay Scale (MPS), or Upper Pay Scale (UPS) applicant.
* Possess a genuine passion for English literature and language, capable of conveying enthusiasm to pupils.
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
* Be a collaborative team player, eager to contribute positively to a supportive departmental culture.
* Show a dedication to continuous professional development and innovative pedagogical approaches.
