About the Role
A dedicated school is seeking an exceptional 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide crucial assistance to a secondary pupil with complex needs. This vital role involves delivering personalised support to enable the pupil to thrive within their educational journey. We are seeking an individual available to start as soon as possible, with various contract options including long-term, daily supply, or permanent arrangements available.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke 1:1 support tailored to the pupil's individual requirements.
* Confidently implement and review Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
* Actively facilitate the pupil's full access to the secondary curriculum.
* Proactively promote the development of independence and essential life skills.
* Foster strong communication channels with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
* Maintain accurate records of pupil progress, observations, and achievements.

About You
* Possess proven experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with complex Special Educational Needs.
* Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of EHCPs and their practical application.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and a resilient approach to challenges.
* Command excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for all stakeholders.
* Hold a genuine passion for empowering young individuals to reach their full potential.
* Display initiative and a proactive attitude towards supporting learning and development.
