Key Responsibilities
* Provide targeted support to secondary pupils with SEMH needs within a specialist setting.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies, promoting positive choices and self-regulation.
* Support pupils in managing their emotional responses, developing coping mechanisms and resilience.
* Facilitate the successful reintegration of pupils into learning activities and classroom environments.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff and other professionals to develop individualised support plans.
* Contribute to creating an inclusive and nurturing atmosphere that encourages pupil engagement and progress.
About You
* You possess previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils, ideally within an SEMH or SEN environment.
* You demonstrate a strong understanding of the challenges and complexities associated with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
* Your approach is patient, empathetic, and resilient, enabling you to build strong rapport with young people.
* You are proactive and adaptable, able to respond effectively to varied and sometimes challenging situations.
* You have excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with pupils, colleagues, and parents with clarity and warmth.
