About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to join a well-established school in East London. This vital role involves providing bespoke, focused support to a secondary pupil with complex needs. You will be instrumental in implementing EHCP targets, facilitating access to the curriculum, and nurturing the development of essential independence and life skills. This opportunity offers flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, and potential permanent placements, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £85 to £110, commencing as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a secondary pupil with complex needs.
* Implement and monitor Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets effectively.
* Facilitate the pupil's access to a broad and balanced secondary curriculum.
* Encourage and develop the pupil's independence across all school activities.
* Support the pupil in acquiring and refining crucial life skills.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure holistic support.

About You
* Demonstrated experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with complex Special Educational Needs.
* A profound understanding of EHCPs and their practical application.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong rapport.
* A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to pupil support.
* Proactive in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Committed to ongoing professional development within an SEN setting.
