Key Responsibilities
• Provide targeted one-to-one and small group support to primary-aged pupils with special educational needs.
• Assist class teachers in implementing individualised learning plans and strategies effectively.
• Facilitate a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages pupil participation and progress.
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff, the SENCO, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive pupil support.
• Monitor and record pupils' academic and personal development, providing regular feedback.
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural needs, promoting their overall well-being.
About You
• Possess prior experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, ideally within a primary school setting.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of various learning difficulties and effective support strategies.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Show a proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting diverse pupil needs.
• Be a strong team player, capable of working collaboratively and independently when required.
