About the Role
Join a ambitious school in Kettering dedicated to nurturing primary pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs within a specialist SEMH setting. We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide vital SEN support, fostering positive relationships and a calm learning environment. This role offers flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate of £95 - £120. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, bringing their passion and expertise to our inclusive community.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to primary pupils experiencing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
* Implement effective de-escalation strategies to maintain a calm and secure learning atmosphere.
* Mentor individual pupils and small groups, encouraging positive behavioural development.
* Cultivate strong, trusting relationships with pupils, enhancing their engagement and well-being.
* Assist the class teacher with general classroom management and learning activities.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for pupils.

About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of primary-aged pupils.
* Demonstrable experience working effectively with children who have social, emotional, and mental health needs is essential.
* You are skilled in employing empathetic and patient approaches to pupil support.
* The ability to build immediate rapport and foster positive relationships with young learners is key.
