About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly regarded school in the Beaconsfield area, supporting primary pupils within a specialist Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) setting. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive learning environment and providing tailored support to young learners. We are seeking a dedicated individual ready to make a significant impact on children's development and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated one-to-one and small group support to primary pupils with SEMH needs.
* Implement effective de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviours sensitively.
* Mentor pupils, helping them to develop self-regulation and coping mechanisms.
* Foster strong, positive relationships with pupils, built on trust and mutual respect.
* Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging learning activities.
* Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting primary-aged children with SEMH needs.
* You have prior experience working in an educational or care setting, preferably with SEMH.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport effortlessly.
* You are resilient, patient, and able to approach challenges with a calm and understanding demeanour.
* You are proactive and adaptable, able to respond effectively to diverse pupil requirements.
* You are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all young people.
