Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Biology lessons across all secondary key stages.
• Develop and implement a broad and balanced Science curriculum, incorporating a Chemistry specialism.
• Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity and scientific inquiry.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and departmental initiatives within the Science faculty.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance teaching strategies.
About You
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Possess a strong academic background in Biology, with a proven Chemistry specialism.
• Demonstrated ability to teach across the secondary age range, inspiring students of all abilities.
• Be a passionate and creative educator committed to student success and development.
• Exhibit excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to safeguarding.
• Applications are welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced educators (MPS/UPS).
