About the Role
We are actively seeking a talented and passionate Design Technology Teacher to join a respected secondary school in Shropshire. This is a superb long-term, permanent opportunity commencing in September 2026, where you will be instrumental in delivering an inspiring DT curriculum. The role involves teaching across various key stages, encouraging students to develop practical skills, innovation, and creative problem-solving abilities. Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons that captivate and challenge pupils.
* Assess student progress thoroughly, providing insightful feedback to support their development and attainment.
* Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of a dynamic DT curriculum.
* Maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating workshop environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
* Foster a love for design and technology, inspiring students to pursue their creative potential.
* Participate actively in departmental meetings and school-wide initiatives.

About You
* You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Design Technology.
* You possess a genuine enthusiasm for the subject and an ability to motivate secondary students.
* You demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, ensuring a productive and respectful learning atmosphere.
* You are adept at differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
* You exhibit a proactive approach to professional growth and collaborative teamwork.
* You are committed to nurturing creativity and critical thinking within your pupils.
