About the Role
A highly regarded school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist SEN provision, supporting secondary-aged pupils with complex needs. This vital role involves assisting with the delivery of an adapted curriculum and empowering pupils to achieve greater independence, contributing significantly to their educational journey and personal growth within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary-aged pupils with a range of complex special educational needs.
* Assist teachers in planning and delivering an engaging, adapted curriculum, ensuring accessibility for all learners.
* Encourage and develop pupils' independence and essential life skills within the school environment.
* Support pupils with their communication, social, and emotional development.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, therapists, and parents to support holistic pupil progress.
* Contribute to maintaining a positive, safe, and stimulating learning atmosphere for every pupil.

About You
* Demonstrable experience working with secondary-aged pupils who have complex special educational needs.
* A genuine passion for supporting the academic and personal development of young people.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong rapport with pupils and colleagues.
* Resilient, patient, and empathetic, with a calm and understanding approach to diverse needs.
* Proactive in identifying and addressing pupil requirements, showing initiative in various situations.
* Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children within the school community.
