About the Role
A forward-thinking school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant primary team. This pivotal role involves providing tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. You will play a crucial part in facilitating learning, promoting independence, and helping pupils achieve their full potential within a supportive mainstream setting.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct support to pupils with Special Educational Needs, both individually and in small groups.
• Assist class teachers in adapting learning materials and activities to meet diverse pupil requirements.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to regular reviews and individual education plans.
• Support positive behaviour management strategies, promoting a calm and focused learning environment.
• Facilitate social inclusion, encouraging pupils to participate fully in school life and interact with peers.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic pupil development.

About You
• Possess previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, ideally within a primary school setting.
• Demonstrate a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting pupils' diverse learning journeys.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Show a proactive and adaptable nature, capable of responding to varying pupil needs and classroom dynamics.
• Hold a genuine passion for making a positive impact on children's educational and personal development.
• Be committed to upholding safeguarding principles and ensuring the welfare of all pupils.
