About the Role
A progressive school is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision, working with secondary pupils. This vital role involves supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, fostering a positive learning environment. You will contribute to pupils' behaviour support and emotional regulation, facilitating their successful reintegration into academic learning. Opportunities are available for immediate start across various contract types, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent positions.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to secondary pupils with SEMH needs.
* Implement effective strategies for behaviour management and de-escalation.
* Assist pupils in developing emotional regulation skills and resilience.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff to facilitate a structured and engaging learning environment.
* Support the reintegration of pupils into mainstream learning as appropriate.
* Contribute to the ongoing assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.

About You
* Possess a proven track record of supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
* Demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
* Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective pupil and staff interaction.
* Be proactive, adaptable, and able to respond calmly to challenging situations.
* Hold relevant experience or qualifications related to SEN support or child development.
* Show a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on pupils' educational journeys.
