About the Role
Join a supportive school located in East London, seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to work with a secondary pupil who has complex needs. This vital role involves providing tailored assistance, following Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets, and ensuring full access to the curriculum. You will play a crucial part in fostering independence and developing essential life skills for the pupil. We welcome applications for long-term, daily supply, or permanent positions, with an immediate start available, offering a competitive daily rate between £85 and £110.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver personalised 1:1 support to a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Implement and review Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets effectively.
* Facilitate the pupil’s access to a broad and balanced curriculum across various subjects.
* Actively encourage and foster the development of independence in daily routines and learning.
* Support the pupil in acquiring and practising essential life skills for future success.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure a holistic support approach.

About You
* Possess proven experience supporting pupils with complex special educational needs.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of secondary phase education and pupil development.
* Have familiarity with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and their implementation.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and a resilient approach to challenges.
* Hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships.
* Show a genuine passion for making a significant difference to a pupil’s learning journey.
