This pivotal role involves meticulously implementing Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets, ensuring the pupil can fully access the curriculum, and championing their journey towards greater independence and essential life skills within a supportive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke 1:1 support, tailored to the unique requirements of a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Diligently follow and implement all targets outlined within the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Actively facilitate the pupil's engagement with and access to the diverse secondary curriculum.
* Champion the development of the pupil's independence, fostering self-reliance and confidence in daily tasks.
* Assist in nurturing crucial life skills, preparing the pupil for future success and broader community participation.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers and other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to pupil development.

* You possess proven experience working with secondary-aged pupils who have complex special educational needs.
* You demonstrate a profound understanding of EHCPs and their practical application in a classroom environment.
* You are patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting individual pupil progress.
