A flourishing school is seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to provide crucial support to secondary-aged pupils with complex needs within its specialist provision. This vital role involves assisting with the delivery of an adapted curriculum and actively promoting pupil independence. We are offering a range of flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent positions, with an attractive daily rate between £90 and £115. An immediate start is available for the right candidates who are passionate about making a difference.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to pupils with complex special educational needs.
* Assist teachers in adapting learning materials and activities to meet individual pupil requirements.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
* Support pupils with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation throughout the school day.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, therapists, and parents to monitor pupil progress and well-being.
* Encourage the development of essential life skills and greater independence in pupils.
About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting young people with complex special educational needs.
* You demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, suitable for various audiences.
* You exhibit a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to daily challenges.
* You are adaptable and flexible, able to respond effectively to evolving pupil needs and classroom dynamics.
* You have previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils in an SEN setting.
