A forward-thinking school in the vibrant Richmond upon Thames area is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This rewarding primary school role involves providing crucial support to pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) within a specialist SEN environment. You will work both individually and with small groups of children, assisting those with complex learning needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and speech and language difficulties. We are offering flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent positions, with an attractive daily rate of £90 - £115, commencing as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to primary-aged pupils with complex learning needs.
* Assist in the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure pupil progress.
* Support children presenting with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and speech and language difficulties.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers and other specialists to enhance educational outcomes.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and promote engagement in learning activities.

* Experience working with primary-aged pupils with EHCPs and complex learning difficulties is essential.
