About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join an innovative school community in Hertfordshire. This crucial role involves providing dedicated support to primary pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs within a specialist SEN setting. You will play a vital part in fostering a nurturing environment where every child feels understood and can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to primary pupils experiencing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
* Implement effective de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviours calmly and thoughtfully.
* Mentor individual pupils, encouraging their personal growth and resilience.
* Cultivate strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and the wider school community.
* Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging educational activities.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCOs to achieve pupil-centred outcomes.

About You
* You possess proven experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs.
* You demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and understanding.
* A proactive and resilient approach to supporting pupils is essential.
* You are skilled in building rapport and establishing trusting relationships.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills are a must.
* You hold a genuine passion for making a positive difference in children's lives.
