About the Role
Join a dynamic school seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide vital assistance to a secondary pupil with complex needs. This rewarding position involves closely following Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets, ensuring the pupil can access the curriculum effectively, and actively promoting independence and crucial life skills. We are offering flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, or permanent arrangements, with an immediate start available.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to a specific secondary pupil with identified complex needs.
* Diligently implement all objectives and strategies outlined in the pupil's EHCP.
* Facilitate the pupil's engagement and access to the full secondary curriculum.
* Actively encourage and support the development of the pupil's independence.
* Support the acquisition and application of essential life skills.
* Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers and the SENCo to ensure holistic support.

About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting young people with complex special educational needs.
* A strong understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) is essential.
* You are passionate about making a significant difference to a pupil's educational journey in a secondary setting.
* Your approach promotes independence and equips pupils with valuable life skills.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering positive relationships.
* You are adaptable, proactive, and committed to continuous professional development.
