About the Role
A dedicated school in Harlow, Essex is seeking an empathetic ASD Support Assistant to join their specialist primary provision. This vital role involves providing tailored assistance to primary pupils on the autism spectrum, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. You will be instrumental in implementing structured routines, deploying effective sensory strategies, and enhancing communication support, ultimately promoting pupil progress and well-being. Flexible contract options are available, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, and permanent positions, with an immediate start possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated, person-centred support to primary pupils on the autism spectrum.
* Assist with the implementation of individualised education and support plans.
* Facilitate effective communication using a variety of strategies appropriate for each child.
* Create and adapt sensory-rich environments to meet diverse pupil needs.
* Support the maintenance of structured daily routines to ensure predictability and comfort.

About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ideally within a primary school setting.

* You are patient, empathetic, and possess a genuinely nurturing approach to education.
