We are seeking a dedicated SEN Class Teacher for an inclusive school in Shropshire, West Midlands. This rewarding position involves delivering an adapted curriculum to secondary-aged pupils with complex learning needs within small group settings. The role offers immediate opportunities on a long-term, permanent, short-term, or daily supply basis, providing flexibility to suit your career aspirations. Successful candidates can expect a competitive daily rate ranging from £150 to £250, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver engaging, adapted curriculum content for pupils with diverse learning needs.
* Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes pupil engagement and progress.
* Assess and meticulously monitor the academic and personal development of pupils, providing constructive feedback.
* Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet specific pupil requirements.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support holistic pupil development.
* Maintain comprehensive records of pupil achievement, behaviour, and attendance in line with school policies.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Demonstrable experience teaching secondary-aged pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.
* Hold a strong understanding of various complex learning needs and effective differentiation strategies.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
* Show a genuine commitment to inclusion and the belief that every pupil can achieve their full potential.
* Be proactive, adaptable, and a dedicated team player, ready to contribute positively to the school community.
