ASDAN Tutor / Teacher

About the Role:
We invite applications for the role of ASDAN Tutor/Teacher at an independently run school renowned for its nurturing and personalised approach to education. This full-time, term-time only position is perfect for those eager to make a significant impact by delivering tailored and relationship-led instruction to small classes of young people.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging ASDAN lessons tailored to individual needs.
• Lead on curriculum development, sequencing, and assessment within ASDAN.
• Track and monitor pupil progress, ensuring positive outcomes for all learners.
• Support pupils’ personal development, confidence, and independence.
• Work collaboratively with SENCO, support staff, and external professionals.
• Contribute to keywork sessions and maintain accurate pupil records.
• Ensure compliance with awarding body and safeguarding requirements.
• Promote a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.

About You:
• Experience working with SEND pupils.
• Knowledge or experience of ASDAN qualifications.
• Passionate about inclusive, pupil-centred education.
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Adaptable, resilient, and committed to improving outcomes.
• Understanding of safeguarding and the importance of pupil wellbeing.
• Teaching qualification (QTS/QTLLS) desirable, with support available for those without.
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience preferred.
• Degree and/or relevant vocational qualifications desirable.
