You will play a pivotal part in implementing behaviour support strategies, guiding pupils in emotional regulation, and facilitating their successful reintegration into academic routines. This opportunity offers flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent positions, starting as soon as possible, with a competitive daily rate of £95 - £120.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to secondary pupils with complex SEMH needs.
* Implement effective and consistent behaviour management techniques to promote a calm learning atmosphere.
* Assist pupils in developing essential coping mechanisms and strategies for emotional regulation.
* Work collaboratively with class teachers to adapt learning materials and ensure accessibility for all pupils.
* Facilitate pupils' engagement and progress, supporting their reintegration into the main classroom setting.
* Contribute proactively to the overall positive and inclusive culture of the specialist provision.
About You
* You possess proven experience supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, ideally within a secondary school context.
* You demonstrate a robust understanding of challenging behaviours and possess strong de-escalation skills.
* You exhibit exceptional communication abilities, capable of building rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
* You are resilient, patient, and deeply committed to fostering positive outcomes for vulnerable learners.
* You can work effectively both independently and as a valued member of a supportive team.
* You hold a proactive and empathetic approach, always prioritising the well-being and development of pupils.
