Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver high-quality, inspiring Physics lessons across the secondary curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to aid their development.
• Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and academic rigour.
• Contribute to the development of the Science department's curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
• Uphold school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and inclusive educational setting for all.
• Support pupils in developing their scientific literacy and practical investigation skills, including aspects of chemistry.
About You
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Physics or a closely related scientific field.
• Possess a genuine passion for science and the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
• Be proficient in planning engaging lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
• Show a proactive approach to continuous professional development and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
• Have a strong understanding of current educational practices within secondary science education.
