Key Responsibilities
* Supervise whole classes in the absence of the assigned teacher, ensuring a safe and orderly learning environment.
* Deliver pre-planned lessons and activities, guiding students through independent learning tasks.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, upholding school policies and promoting positive conduct.
* Provide assistance and support to students, addressing queries and encouraging active participation.
* Report any issues or concerns regarding student behaviour or learning to appropriate staff members.
* Ensure all school procedures are followed, including safeguarding protocols and health and safety guidelines.
About You
* You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with young people.
* You demonstrate a calm, authoritative, and resilient approach to classroom management.
* You are highly adaptable and able to respond effectively to varying classroom dynamics and situations.
* You have a genuine passion for supporting student learning and welfare within a secondary setting.
* You hold a valid enhanced DBS check or are willing to apply for one.
* Previous experience in a supervisory or educational support role is highly desirable.
