About the Role
Join an innovative school in the East Midlands, where we are seeking an inspiring and dedicated DT Teacher for a permanent position starting in September 2026. Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver stimulating Design and Technology lessons, catering to a diverse range of abilities within the secondary curriculum.
* Cultivate a safe and inspiring workshop environment, ensuring all students develop practical skills with confidence and creativity.
* Implement rigorous assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the DT curriculum, incorporating new technologies and innovative approaches to design education.
* Actively participate in departmental meetings and wider school initiatives, enhancing the collaborative spirit of our educational community.
* Manage resources effectively, maintaining equipment and materials to support high-quality practical learning experiences.

About You
* You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrable experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level; ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply, alongside experienced MPS/UPS candidates.
* A genuine passion for your subject, coupled with a commitment to inspiring young minds through practical and creative learning.
* Excellent classroom management skills are essential, capable of fostering an inclusive and productive learning atmosphere.
* A proactive approach to professional development is key, keen to embrace new teaching methodologies and technologies.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective engagement with students, colleagues, and parents.
* A resilient and adaptable educator, ready to embrace the dynamic challenges of a thriving secondary school environment.
