1:1 SEN Support Assistant

This is an exceptional opportunity to provide dedicated 1:1 SEN support within a respected primary school setting, working closely with a pupil who has complex needs, potentially including ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment. This vital role focuses on building strong rapport, implementing personalised EHCP targets, and effectively liaising with therapists to foster a supportive and enriching learning environment. We are considering candidates for long-term, daily supply, or permanent contracts, with an immediate start available, offering a competitive daily rate of £85 - £110.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Implement and adapt individualised Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets effectively.
* Foster a trusting and positive relationship with the pupil to encourage engagement and progress.
* Collaborate closely with external therapists and specialists to integrate their recommendations into daily practice.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to regular reviews and future planning.
* Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.

* You possess demonstrable experience supporting children with complex special educational needs in a primary school environment.
* You are adept at building strong, empathetic relationships with pupils and understanding their unique requirements.
