About the Role
An inclusive school is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide individualised assistance for a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs. This vital role involves supporting a young person's educational journey and personal growth, working within a nurturing school environment. We are looking for an individual available for an immediate start, with contract options ranging from long-term placements to daily supply, and even permanent opportunities, offering a competitive daily rate of £85 - £110.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a secondary pupil, fostering a positive learning experience.
* Implement individualised education plans (EHCP targets) effectively to meet specific learning objectives.
* Facilitate access to the curriculum, adapting materials and strategies as required for the pupil's needs.
* Promote the development of essential independence and self-help skills within the school setting.
* Support the pupil in acquiring valuable life skills, preparing them for future success.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support approach.

About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting pupils with complex special educational needs.
* An understanding of secondary education and the specific challenges faced by young people is essential.
* Your approach is patient, empathetic, and consistently resilient in demanding situations.
* You are adept at following individualised support plans and contributing to their effectiveness.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a hallmark of your professional practice.
* You are deeply committed to fostering a pupil's independence and overall well-being.
