About the Role

You will play a crucial part in delivering an adapted curriculum, encouraging pupil progress, and cultivating vital life skills through promoting independence.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to secondary-aged pupils with complex special educational needs.
* Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging, adapted learning activities that meet individual pupil goals.
* Promote a positive and nurturing classroom atmosphere where every pupil feels valued and understood.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff and therapists to implement individualised education plans effectively.
* Encourage pupils to develop greater independence and resilience across all aspects of school life.
* Contribute to assessing pupil progress and reporting on their achievements and development.

About You
* Possess a genuine passion for making a significant difference in the lives of young people with complex needs.
* Bring demonstrable experience working effectively with secondary-aged pupils in an SEN setting.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling strong rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
* Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a resilient approach to challenging situations.
* Be proactive in identifying and implementing strategies that support pupil engagement and progress.
* Hold relevant qualifications or professional development in special educational needs support.
