About the Role
A thriving school in West London is seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to join their vibrant team, working with secondary students on the autism spectrum. This fulfilling role focuses on providing essential support that facilitates social communication, effectively manages sensory needs, and ensures successful curriculum access for every student. We are actively recruiting for various flexible contract types, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent opportunities, with an immediate start available and a competitive daily rate of £90 - £115.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary students on the autism spectrum, both individually and in small groups.
* Actively facilitate the development of crucial social communication skills within a classroom setting.
* Implement effective strategies to manage sensory needs and create a supportive learning environment.
* Assist students in accessing and engaging with the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and other professionals to ensure holistic student development.
* Encourage independence and foster a positive attitude towards learning amongst all pupils.

About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within an educational setting.
* A strong understanding of the unique challenges and strengths of secondary-aged pupils is essential.
* You exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience, especially when navigating complex situations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills allow you to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
* You are a proactive and adaptable team player, keen to contribute positively to the school community.
* A genuine passion for making a significant difference to student outcomes drives your professional approach.
