ASD Support Assistant

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly regarded school, dedicated to providing outstanding support for secondary students on the autism spectrum within a specialist SEN setting. You will play a pivotal role in facilitating social communication, sensitively managing sensory needs, and expertly supporting access to a diverse curriculum. We are seeking dedicated individuals for various contract types, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent positions, with an immediate start available, offering a competitive daily rate of £90 - £115.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored assistance to secondary students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within a specialist setting.
* Actively facilitate the development of effective social communication skills among pupils.
* Implement strategies to sensitively manage and respond to individual sensory needs.
* Support students in accessing and engaging with the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and therapists to create inclusive learning environments.
* Monitor and record student progress, contributing to individualised support plans.
