About the Role
Join a highly regarded school in Northamptonshire seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant. This vital role involves providing specialist support to primary pupils on the autism spectrum, helping them thrive within a nurturing primary SEN environment. You will be instrumental in implementing structured routines, sensory strategies, and communication support in a specialist ASD provision. We are considering candidates for a range of contract types, including daily supply, short-term, long-term, and permanent positions, with an immediate start available.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to primary pupils with autism spectrum condition.
* Implement structured routines, sensory strategies, and communication support within a specialist provision.
* Assist with the development and delivery of individualised learning and support plans.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all pupils.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers and other professionals to ensure holistic pupil development.
* Support pupils in developing essential social and communication skills.

About You
* Possess prior experience supporting primary-aged children with autism spectrum condition.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of various communication strategies and sensory needs.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience in a dynamic educational setting.
* Hold relevant qualifications or training in SEN support, particularly ASD.
* Be committed to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of all pupils.
* Show a proactive and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
