About the Role
A forward-thinking school is seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to join their specialist primary provision. This vital role involves providing tailored support to pupils on the autism spectrum, helping them to thrive within a nurturing educational environment. You will be instrumental in implementing structured routines and communication strategies, contributing significantly to pupil progress and well-being. We are looking for individuals available for long-term, short-term, daily supply, or permanent contracts to commence as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Implement tailored sensory strategies and structured routines to support pupil engagement.
* Facilitate effective communication support, adapting methods to individual pupil needs.
* Assist primary pupils with their learning across a range of subjects, fostering independence.
* Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver an inclusive curriculum.
* Contribute to creating a positive and supportive learning atmosphere for all pupils.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, providing valuable feedback to the teaching team.

About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting primary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* You demonstrate excellent communication skills, capable of building rapport with pupils and colleagues.
* Experience working within an SEN environment, particularly with autism, is highly advantageous.
* You are patient, resilient, and possess a proactive approach to supporting pupil development.
* Ability to adapt quickly to varying needs and implement diverse support strategies effectively.
* A relevant qualification in education or special educational needs is desirable, though not essential for exceptional candidates.
