We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Class Teacher to join a forward-thinking primary school environment, specialising in supporting pupils with diverse needs. This role involves leading a small class of primary-aged pupils, each with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), by creatively adapting the national curriculum to ensure every child thrives. You will work within a highly collaborative setting, closely engaging with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to foster a holistic and supportive learning journey for all. Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the specific learning styles and needs of primary SEN pupils.
* Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) in line with EHCPs, ensuring pupil progress and well-being.
* Adapt the primary national curriculum effectively, making learning accessible and stimulating for all children.
* Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists.
* Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on pupil development and involving them in the educational process.
* Contribute to a vibrant, inclusive school culture, promoting positive behaviour and celebrating pupil achievements.
About You
* You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess experience teaching within a primary SEN setting.
* A genuine commitment to supporting the educational and personal growth of pupils with special educational needs is essential.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and families.
* A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate young learners, is highly valued.
* You are dedicated to your own professional development and continually seek to enhance your SEN teaching practices.
