About the Role
A flourishing school in the East of England, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a highly dedicated and empathetic individual to join its specialist SEN team as an ASD Support Assistant. This vital role involves supporting secondary students on the autism spectrum, ensuring they thrive within a nurturing and structured environment. You will be instrumental in facilitating social communication, effectively managing sensory needs, and supporting access to the general secondary curriculum. We are considering applications for long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent contracts, with an immediate start available for the right candidate. This position offers a competitive daily rate of £90 - £115, reflecting your experience and commitment to student development.

Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate the development of social communication skills among students.
* Implement effective strategies for managing and accommodating sensory needs.
* Provide targeted support to help students access and engage with the secondary curriculum.
* Assist in the creation and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
* Encourage independence and the development of essential life skills.
* Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure holistic student progress.
