About the Role

Key Responsibilities
• Providing tailored support to individual pupils or small groups with special educational needs, both within and outside the classroom.
• Assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other personalised learning strategies.
• Collaborating effectively with class teachers and other professionals to monitor pupil development and adapt support approaches.
• Encouraging independence and fostering a positive learning attitude among pupils.
• Helping to create an engaging and accessible learning environment that caters to diverse needs.
• Documenting observations and contributing to pupil assessment reports as required.

About You
• Possess a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs in a primary setting.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Exhibit patience, empathy, and resilience when facing diverse learning challenges.
• Have experience working with children, ideally within an educational or support capacity.
• Be proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute positively to a team environment.
• Hold relevant qualifications or a strong commitment to professional development in SEN.
